Colin was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1960. He graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (honours), an MBA and a Bachelor of Laws degree.
Colin previously worked with Royal Trust, a subsidiary of The Royal Bank of Canada, Canada's largest financial institution, advising clients on international matters including trusts and company formation. He has also been involved with a consulting company, Linham Incorporated, which interalia advised Canadian clients on international trusts.
Colin joined Continental Trust Corporation Limited in 1996 and is now the Managing Director of the company
